Sometime ago(during April, 2003) I went with three classmates to a hill near my city. Dubbed 'Serra da
Piedade', itīs about 40 minutes driving from where I live. There is an observatory from my university on the top of the mountain. A
friend
of mine were working at the observatory and invited us to take a look at his work. We could see the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn and other
stars
through telescopes that were available there.
Unfortunately we could take only a few pictures during daylight and as you will be able to see, I appear in none of them. This
happened because I was the one who was taking the pictures! The view of the valley from the top is awesome. The cameraīs
batery was low and when we found another one in a local shop, the sun had already gone. Thatīs why most of the pictures were taken
during the night.
ps: Please donīt pay attention to my expressions in some of the pictures. I couldnīt imagine I would look so weird!
