Welcome to SBLP 2005, the 9th Brazilian Symposium on Programming Languages. The symposium will be held at Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE) at Recife, Brazil, on May 23-25, 2005.

The symposium is sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and aims to create a forum where researchers, students, and practitioners present and discuss the latest theoretical and practical works on programming languages.
