Requirements

Installation

  1. Download JADE from our Web site (http://www.dcc.ufmg.br/~coelho/JADE).
  2. It is important to setup the PATH and CLASSPATH values correctly for JDK (and for Swing API!) before trying to execute JADE.
  3. Go to JADE directory and execute JADE, or invoke the editor by typing "java JADESDLEditor". Note that on some machines, you may have to add JADE's path to the class path ("java -cp . JADESDLEditor").
  4. If you are still having problems executing JADE, please send an email to jade@lecom.dcc.ufmg.br.

Known problems

There are several known problems with JADE currently, some of them still waiting for the next releases of the Java compiler and libraries. If you find something strange while executing JADE, please let us know and we will try to fix in the next release.

Saving and Retrieving SDL Designs

Version 0.5 of the tool saves and and retrieves files in JAVA object serialization format. Version 0.5 is also able to generate CIF files. We are currently implementing the parser to accept CIF files as well in a future release.

Help

Unfortunately, we are currently finishing the on-line manual and help files for JADE. Please refer to this web-page in a month and the help file may be ready for download.
