Our group advances the state-of-the-art in computer networking and distributed systems researching novel algorithms, protocols, and mechanisms. We prototype our solutions and evaluate them in real environments. We implement our solutions and make them available as tools or platforms, empowering other researchers and aiding network operators. Ultimately, our research makes the Internet more reliable and improves its performance.

Research lines

  • Wide area network measurement, monitoring, and characterization
  • Detection, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of network failures
  • Distributed and virtualized architectures for service deployment
