Evandro L. T. P. Cunha
(Evandro Landulfo Teixeira Paradela Cunha)

Hi! I am a professor (equiv. to assistant prof.) at the Faculty of Letters of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (FALE/UFMG, Brazil), where I lead the ADA: Working Group on Computational Linguistics and teach courses mostly on Italian and Applied Linguistics. I hold a double PhD degree in Linguistics from Leiden University (the Netherlands) and in Computer Science from UFMG, and a specialization degree in Forensic Linguistics from the University of Porto (Portugal). I was also a research intern at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (Leipzig, Germany) and a postdoctoral researcher in the project Covid Data Analytics, at UFMG. In 2021/2022, I am a fellow of the 4th Intercontinental Academia (ICA4), with the topic "Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence". Areas of research

• Computational, corpus and quantitative linguistics: compilation and use of diachronic and historical corpora; computational modelling and simulation of linguistic phenomena; quantitative analysis of language variation and change; textual analysis in the fields of health and environment.
• Human-computer interaction: interaction and interlocution between humans and robots/intelligent virtual assistants.
• Forensic linguistics: authorship analysis; investigative and evidential linguistics; historical forensic linguistics.
• Romance linguistics: minority Romance languages; Italian languages in Brazil.
• Social computing: computer-mediated communication; collection and analysis of language data from the web; misinformation, manipulation and extremism on the internet.
