POO20H - Grading distribution

Overview

The grades of each student are determined by the project assignment, by exercises and by a debate. The project accounts for 70% of the grades, the exercises account for 20%, and the debate gives you 10% of the grades.

Debate

In the last day of class we will be discussing anti-patterns. Each student will have to choose a topic, and will have five minutes to present this topic in class. The student should try to get some real life examples to illustrate his pattern. I have all the possible options in this spreadsheet. Send an e-mail to me, so that I can give you permission to edit the document. Each student will have to add his name next to the anti-pattern that he or she chooses. A student is allowed to choose at most one anti-pattern, and each anti-pattern can have at most one student.

Exercises

Each daily lesson has three sheets of exercises. You must choose four exercises, out of all the exercises in the three sheets, and turn them in, in class, written by hand. It is very important that the answers come written by hand. Each exercise must be turned in on the next day after its lesson. For instance, bring the exercises of Tuesday's lesson on Wednesday. There is no exercises about the fifth day of course. The options are listed below:

  1. Introduction
  2. Principles
  3. Patterns
  4. Testing
