I am a Ph.D. student associated to the Pattern Recognition and Earth Observation group (PATREO) hosted at the Computer Science Department of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil.
However, part of my Ph.D. studies is being performed in GIPSA-Lab at the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, France.
Specifically, my thesis is focused on developing Deep Learning-based approaches to Remote Sensing applications, varying from segmentation to classication from visible to hyperspectral images.
I received my Master Degree in Computer Science from UFMG in 2015. During my Master, I worked developing Machine and Deep Learning techniques to clothing annotation and segmentation. My Computer Science Bachelor degree was from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) in 2012. There, I worked with Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
My research interests include Machine, Deep and Statistical Learning, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing and Remote Sensing.
