Hello, I am Marcelo, currently a student at UFMG. My main research interests are in the areas of Machine Learning and Data Science, although I do have experience with software development. Secondary interests also include metaheuristics and natural computing.
In the realm of research, I aspire to be able to create methodologies and models that not only advance the field but also have practical applications with a real-world impact. I am motivated by the prospect of identifying and addressing challenges through the lens of data science and machine learning. At the end of the day, I want to be able to look back at my work and confidently say that I have made the world the tiniest bit better.
The programming languages I am most familiar with are Python, C and C++. I have also previously worked with JavaScript (React) and with SQL.
