I am currently a PhD student of Computer Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). During my bachelors, I worked with timetabling problems, employing meta-heuristics and mixed integer programming techniques. Since my masters, I've been working with facial recognition problems and biometrics, delving into the machine learning and pattern recognition field.
Being a PhD candidate at UFMG means to learn from a team of academic researchers working on state-of-the-art technologies for machine learning, computer vision and image processing. At the Department of Computer Science I will also have the chance to contribute and participate in the international research community.
