Abstract: A set X is a decycling set of a graph G if G-X is acyclic. In this seminar, we survey results on variants and special cases of decycling sets, considering (i) properties to be satisfied by X (such as being a clique, an independent set, a matching, etc.) and (ii) the target family of cycles to be destroyed by X (all the cycles, triangles, odd cycles, etc.).
