My Ph.D. thesis titled “Text-driven Video Acceleration” has been awarded First Place in the Ph.D. category at the Workshop of Theses and Dissertations during the 37th Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI 2024).
This work was developed at VeRLab (DCC/UFMG) under the supervision of Prof. Erickson R. Nascimento and Prof. Leandro Soriano Marcolino. It presents a reinforcement learning methodology for accelerating instructional videos using text.
