Nivio Ziviani is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Computer Science of UFMG and cofounder of Kunumi. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Kunumi and Falconi. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and the National Order of the Scientific Merit in the classes Comendador and Gran Cruz. His research interests includes algorithms, information retrieval and artificial intelligence.
